Spanish teacher training for non-native teachers
Individuals interested in teaching Spanish to non-native speakers, whether you’re just starting your career or haven’t begun yet. This course is designed to equip you with essential teaching techniques and methodologies from Españolé School, boasting 25 years of experience in teacher training.
You have the flexibility to undertake the course either in-person at Españolé School in Valencia or online from anywhere in the world. The course comprises two sections: theoretical lessons, where you’ll learn the best practices for teaching Spanish, and practical sessions where you’ll teach real students while being supervised by an experienced instructor. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a specialized certification as a Spanish language teacher for non-native speakers.
The course spans 150 accredited teaching hours, with 120 hours dedicated to theoretical and collaborative lessons and 30 hours allocated to independent practical training. Throughout this training course, you’ll be required to create a portfolio showcasing all your work and practical lessons. To obtain the course completion certificate, it’s essential to submit the portfolio and attend 100% of the theoretical classes and a minimum of 90% of the practical sessions.
This course is officially recognized by the University of Barcelona. Graduates who complete the portfolio and achieve a passing grade will be eligible to receive a certificate from the University of Barcelona, solidifying their expertise in teaching Spanish to non-native speakers.

Certificate of attendance upon completion
Individuals will receive a completion certificate indicating the number of hours completed and the proficiency level achieved in the Spanish language, following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. To obtain a course completion certificate, it is essential to attend 80% of the course lessons.
Applying for the Spanish student visa
Please note that, in order to apply for a student visa, it is a requirement to enroll in an intensive Spanish course with a minimum of 20 hours per week for a duration of no less than 6 months.
